Receipts

A social game for settling takes with friends

Fantasy football isn't really about football, it's about the group chat. When the season ends, the shared game disappears. Friends still debate sports, culture, and news every day, but there's no lightweight way to keep score without spreadsheets, screenshots, or hindsight bias.
Receipts turns real-world takes into a recurring competition. Players swipe through live questions, pick outcomes, and compete in private leagues. The system rewards timing and conviction rather than safe picks or memory.
A prediction market platform where claims are backed by receipts.
  • Probability-based scoring rewards unpopular but correct takes while penalizing obvious ones. Liquidity multipliers increase stakes on meaningful markets
  • Locked odds, availability thresholds, and opposing-pick requirements prevent hindsight bias and low-risk farming
  • Persistent standings and playoffs give long-term stakes instead of one-off debates
I ran an MVP during the Super Bowl with friends to test engagement and integrity. Their behavior exposed edge cases and directly shaped the scoring model, eligibility rules, and season format. Now building a full native iOS app based on those learnings.
Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase (DB + RLS + Edge Functions), Polymarket API, cron ingestion, caching, async scoring jobs.
